This collection aims to raise awareness of the issues concerning plastic pollution . I spent some time in Vietnam in 2016, ending with an overnight boat trip around the beautiful World Heritage site, Halong Bay. It was here I encountered a used sanitary item (lovely!) in the water whilst I was kayaking. I immediately noticed how badly polluted the waters were with tour boat waste and in particular plastic. These are protected waters and so it was incredibly concerning and sad to see such a beautiful part of the world being treated with such disregard.
Blue Planet and Sir David Attenborough (my childhood hero!) did an incredible job of highlighting the devastating impact our plastic pollution is having on the marine life and their habitats. I wanted to join in with raising awareness and thus decided to collate a collection of our favourite and most endangered ocean dwellers. I hope to encourage people to use less single-use plastic and go green! All of my packaging is either 100% recycled, recyclable and bio-degradable.
